Surrounded by surfaces that could use a touch-up and an improvement? Spray painting gets the job done easy, fast and inexpensively! You don’t have to be the best spray painter to get the best results. Here are a few useful tips for a successful spray painting result:

- Pick the right location for spray painting – Outdoors is optimum and the best place to spray paint. Ensure you are wearing a mask – spray paint is toxic.
- Protect the surface being painted on – spray paints tend to travel far especially if it’s windy. Ensure you use a large sheet or create spray paint for the project.
- Always use primer – like with most painting techniques, primer is a must when it comes to spray paints for a successful finished result.
- Shake up the paint – to ensure better flow of paint and to negate paints sticking to the cans, make sure you shake the paint containers well before use.
- Practice practice practice – with any skill, it is important to always practice spray painting before adding on to your actual surface. Never start at the most prominent spot.
- Avoid drips by applying light even coats – position the spray can 10 inches away and then spray from one end to the next allowing for one even stroke.
